Summer Vannin'

As soon as I saw a handpainted tin toy that my girlfriend's parents had handpainted, I knew I had to scan and animate it to tell a little bit of a story of how it lost it's right side mirror.
Polycam did an ok job, but a lot of time went to smooth out the underside and textures. Since it wasn't meant to be used anywhere else, didn't bother that much with clean retopo.

Whole scene set up, background and props modeled and rendered in Blender Eevee with Grease Pencil outlines and details, with some added tweaks and color correction in After Effects while trying to catch that early Gorillaz vibe.
